- Project and campaign information, including stories, images, goals, updates, team details, website and social links, and other content you choose to publish.
- Contribution and transaction information, including amounts, assets, networks, wallet addresses, payment status, donor name, email, message, anonymity preference, balances, payouts, and transaction identifiers.
- Verification and payout information, including date of birth, address, country, identification documents, organization records, beneficiary details, bank or mobile-money information, and information needed for fraud, sanctions, and compliance checks.
- Security and technical information, including IP address, device and browser information, session and authentication events, approximate location, logs, security-factor details, and cookie identifiers.
- Communications, including support requests, feedback, survey responses, and messages you send to us.
2. How we obtain information
We collect information from you, your device, public blockchains, project owners or team members who invite you, and providers involved in identity verification, payments, payouts, security, analytics, and fraud prevention. We may combine information from these sources where permitted by law.

- Provide accounts, projects, campaigns, contributions, and payouts.
- Confirm transactions and maintain financial and audit records.
- Verify identities, organizations, beneficiaries, and project claims.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, sanctions violations, and security incidents.
- Provide support and communicate about accounts and transactions.
- Understand performance, fix problems, and improve Gyvar.
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, compliance, and enforcement obligations.
- Send product news or marketing where you have opted in or the law permits it.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and product improvement, protect users and the public, and act with your consent. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on it, without affecting earlier lawful use.
5. When we share information
We may share information with:
- Payment, blockchain, conversion, banking, and mobile-money providers needed to process a transaction or payout.
- Identity-verification, compliance, sanctions-screening, fraud-prevention, and security providers.
- Hosting, storage, communications, analytics, customer-support, and other vendors that operate services for us.
- Project owners and authorized team members, where information relates to their project or campaign.
- Courts, regulators, law enforcement, tax authorities, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, funds, and the integrity of the service.
- A buyer, investor, affiliate, or successor in connection with financing, reorganization, acquisition, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Public and blockchain information
Project pages, campaigns, organizer details, updates, and non-anonymous supporter information may be public. Bitcoin and stablecoin transactions settle on public networks. Blockchain records can be permanent and may reveal wallet activity beyond Gyvar. We cannot delete or alter information recorded on a public blockchain.
Choosing “anonymous” hides your identity from the public supporter view; it does not make the transaction anonymous to Gyvar, payment providers, compliance providers, authorities with lawful access, or blockchain observers.
7. International transfers
Gyvar operates across borders. Information may be stored or processed in the United States, Ghana, and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Gyvar and for legitimate legal, compliance, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, and security purposes. Transaction, ledger, verification, and audit records may be kept after account closure where law or risk-management obligations require it. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably needed, except for information permanently recorded on public blockchains.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls and additional checks for sensitive actions. No service is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login, devices, recovery methods, and security factors and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent or complain to a data-protection authority. Some rights are limited where we must retain information for transactions, security, compliance, legal claims, or public-blockchain records.
You can update certain information and communication preferences in your account. You can unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message. Essential service and transaction messages cannot be disabled while the relevant account or transaction remains active.
11. Children
Gyvar is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts or operate projects. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Gyvar, our partners, or applicable laws change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your privacy rights.
